Marketing and Development Officer, The Literary Consultancy
Deadline: Mon 4 Dec 2017
The newly created role of Marketing and Development Officer is critical to the development of TLC's business strategy.
Located in the heart of Clerkenwell, The Literary Consultancy (TLC) is based at the vibrant Free Word Centre. Co-founded by Rebecca Swift and Hannah Griffiths in 1996, TLC was the UK's first editorial consultancy. Today, we still provide our manuscript assessment and mentoring services to writers writing at all levels from anywhere in the world, and also run an exciting programme of literary events. We receive core funding from Arts Council England as the only editorial consultancy on its National Portfolio, enabling us to provide support to talented low-income and marginalised writers.

The newly created role of Marketing and Development Officer presents an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated arts professional to join an environment at the cutting edge of thinking around contemporary publishing and ethical author services.

You will play an instrumental role in the development and implementation of key business strategies around marketing, audience development, and fundraising as we head into our next strategic funding period (2018-22).

Demonstrable experience in a similar role is essential as is an understanding of our position in the literary landscape. You will be a creative storyteller with evidenced experience of using social media for marketing and proven analytical and creative skills. A confident self-starter and an excellent communicator, you will be able to work independently and successfully manage different projects.
