The Bridgwater Arts Centre is an established Centre set in two Grade 1 listed Georgian Town Houses, located in the town centre of Bridgwater, Somerset, TA6 3DD - a one hour commute from Bristol. We have a Gallery,  studio spaces, 175 capacity Theatre and bar. We host around 450 participatory activities a year, and roughly 80 evening shows a year. After a successful free street festival last year, we are planning to make this annual from 2017 onwards. 

Like many regional Arts Centre's, the District cut all regular Arts funding in 2011, five staff members were made redundant and for a year the Arts Centre was kept open purely by volunteers. 5 years on we have a team of 4 staff members, developing a Creative Agency, delivered/delivering 4 successful Arts Council Grants for the Arts funded projects, ticket sales are continually growing and we are currently renovating our shopfloor.

The Marketing Manager position is part of a larger project funded by the Arts Council whereby we will be delivering a Creative Agency over the next two years (please see background information for more details). This role joins the team at a very exciting time as we are now fully focusing on rebranding, having created a preliminary rebranding plan ready for the new marketing manager to develop it using creativity and initiative.
