Morley Arts Festival is a multi-arts festival taking place across Morley annually which celebrates creativity and community
Since 2015 the festival has been bringing the town to life with a rich programme of creativity and prior to that it was Morley Literature Festival for 10 years
Morley Arts Festival works with the local community, schools, artists and local businesses to promote increased arts activity in Morley.
The next festival will take place 27 September – 13 October and this year we are incorporating the British Food Fortnight into the programme.
We are on the lookout for an eclectic mix of creatives to get involved. We are inviting artists from all backgrounds and disciplines to submit an idea via our open online submissions page. Performances and art works could be presented in a café, shop, church, pub, library, on the street, in the park – or anywhere in between!
What to submit: Ideas for the programme could include theatre, live music, pop-up performance, live art, installations, visual art, film and creative workshops with a foodie theme
Financial details/payment: There will be a limited number of paid commission opportunities so unfortunately we cannot offer fees to every applicant for this opportunity. However, ticket split deals will be negotiated with participating performers and musicians, and there will be selling opportunities for visual artists. If you want to discuss the possibility of MAF covering some essential costs, then please state this in your application but this is not guaranteed.
How to apply: Applications are made via an online form. All details on how to apply can be found on the festival Facebook site @Morleyartsfestival
Please make sure you read the guidance details and the terms and conditions.
