UEL’s ambition is to become London’s leading university for civic engagement. We are a vibrant and diverse university located in the heart of east London

Our new corporate plan sets an ambitious agenda for our future success and growth which focusses on the delivery of high quality teaching and learning and excellence in research. We have almost doubled our output of world-leading research over the past several years and 94% of the research UEL submitted to the Research Excellence Framework 2014 was deemed to be of an at least internationally-recognised level.

We are seeking a new colleague in the Subject Area of Humanities and Creative Industries to teach Creative Writing, contribute to curriculum development and external development, and help shape the way our newly revalidated programme develops.

You will have a good first degree and relevant current or recent professional experience in screenwriting or writing for a variety of screens or digital media, with an understanding of adaptation and principles of multiple platforms for writing. You will be able to module lead, contribute to curriculum innovation and external development.
