Vivienne Westwood is calling out to young London poets to put pen to paper in aid of her Climate Revolution campaign
In conjunction with YouYou Mentoring, a non-profiteering scheme created for young people to promote their own creative talents, the literary project supports five London poets aged 17 to 21 to help raise public awareness of climate change through a collection of poems. Those selected will be mentored through a series of master classes.
The project will be documented in a film, together with a series of portraits of the poets, culminating in a poetry reading hosted by Westwood this October at the former Hampstead home of the poet John Keats.
The application process is open from now until June 24, 2013. To apply, submit one or two poems via email to: getinvolved@youyoumentoring.org.uk
