ArtWorks Navigator - a partnership of six national organisations: a-n, Artquest, engage, Foundation for Community Dance, National Association of Writers in Education and Sound Sense – are looking for a Project Manager to develop and deliver an ambitious cross-artform professional development programme.
ArtWorks Navigator is one of five ‘Pathfinder’ partnerships, part of the Paul Hamlyn Foundation’s new Special Initiative – ArtWorks: Developing Practice in Participatory Settings - to support the continuing professional development of artists working in participatory settings.
ArtWorks Navigator is a partnership of six national and membership organisations of artists (a-n, Artquest, engage, Foundation for Community Dance, National Association of Writers in Education and Sound Sense). All partners are committed to supporting artists to get better at what they do by providing advice, guidance, practical support and professional development opportunities. Through the ArtWorks Navigator initiative we are specifically committed to:
Share and add value to what partners already achieve and create more effective and clearer routes to professional development for artists engaged in participatory practice
Develop a collective voice for artists as leaders in participatory settings, with a cohesive message to affect policy, sector skills councils, educational networks, and artist employers/CPD providers
Provide flexible and accessible resources for artists and employers, with a national quality assurance framework.
The post of Project Manager for ArtWorks Navigator is a fantastic opportunity for someone to really make a mark in cross-artform cross-organisational working with six organisations with national and international reach and profile. The Project Manager will undertake the day-to-day management and delivery of the ArtWorks Navigator work programme, which include:
Acting as the main point of contact with the Project Director/Paul Hamlyn Foundation and other Pathfinders, to service the grant agreement; and to ensure that Navigator is fully connected and communicated across ArtWorks
Leading and delivering the shared programme activities identified in the plan, to ensure Navigator make maximum strategic impact to time and to budget
Facilitating the Navigator Management Group, and support shared leadership within the consortium.
This post is offered on a fixed-term contract until the end of September 2014, based on 2.5 days per week. The post-holder will be employed by the Foundation for Community Dance (FCD).
