Reader in Creative Writing
Deadline: Sun 7 Aug 2016
The Liverpool Screen School seeks to appoint a Reader in Creative Writing to implement and supervise the delivery of Creative Writing research strategies that align with the University’s overarching research strategy

Creative Writing at the Liverpool Screen School is offered as a single and joint honours programme at undergraduate level and students are encouraged to develop their own creative skills as well the intellectual and analytical skills to improve their work through the study of poetry, prose and scriptwriting. The department also offers two Masters programmes in Writing and Screenwriting, with the latter accredited by Skillset.

The appointed person will have a proven record in the publication of creative and critical work of high quality, and will provide research leadership for the Creative Writing team and the wider school. The appointee will ideally have a strong profile as a writer of prose, and experience of working in a department with an emphasis on practice as research.
