The Centre for Creative Industries is a new initiative of the University of the Highlands and Islands, based in Shetland at Shetland College UHI

This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly established research centre in a unique rural context.  The Centre for Creative Industries is a new initiative of the University of the Highlands and Islands, based in Shetland at Shetland College UHI.

Following the appointment of the University’s first Chair in Creative Industries we are seeking to appoint up to two Research Fellows to pursue research projects related to creative industries development in remote and rural areas, in particular the Highlands and Islands of Scotland. 

The successful candidates will hold a PhD or equivalent and ideally have a track record of research evidenced by publication/grant income in a relevant academic field or creative practice context.
