The Creative Writing Team have established Writing+, a series of professional talks and events featuring distinguished visiting writers, for example: Caroline Smailes, Jenn Ashworth, Carys Bray and David Gaffney, as well as showcases for experimental writing. This year sees the launch of the MMU Novella award and festival, covered widely by the national and specialist press.

We are now seeking to appoint an outstanding individual to join the Creative Writing Team. The successful candidate will have programme leadership experience or experience of leading teams and developing curriculum in a Higher Education context. He/she will have a passion for supporting students in their enterprising writing projects and will have published as an author and/or academic.
