Spark for writers Mini-Mentorship
Deadline: Mon 30 May 2016
This is an amazing opportunity to kick-start your writing with one-to-one support from an experienced mentor

A 3 Month Mini Mentorship is for you if you are just starting out with creative writing and want a burst of support whilst you get going, or if you have been writing for a while but feel stuck in some way. I provide lots of feedback and guidance, plus writing prompts and exercises to unlock your creativity and help you to outwit your Inner Critic (who can be particularly vocal and unhelpful when you are just beginning to write). Along with the support comes accountability – I will be there each week, asking you how your writing is coming along.

The Mini Mentorship starts with a one to one coaching session (in person or by phone or Skype, depending on what works for you and where you’re based), where we get to the nitty gritty of what kind of support you need at this point. You get to explain exactly what you want and need and we can thrash out together any goals that you want to set for the three month period – and how I can best help you to achieve them. It’s your Mentorship, so you get to tailor it absolutely to your needs. See more info here about how a coaching session works.

Then, for the next 12 weeks, you get weekly email support from me. You will also be able to submit a piece of writing (up to 5,000 words) for my editorial feedback and then finally we’ll tie it all together with another one hour coaching session at the end of the 3 month period. In this way we can build on what you’ve achieved and come up with some concrete steps you can take to carry on with your writing after the Mentorship has ended.

The Mini Mentorship usually costs £500, but until 30th May, you have the chance to win a free Mini Mentorship by signing up to my mailing list here. Everyone on the mailing list on 30th May will be entered into a draw and the winner will be offered a free Mini Mentorship. The lucky winner needs to be able to complete the Mentorship before the end of 2016 (so, you need to be able to start at some point between June and October, otherwise you won’t have finished your three months before January 2017…).
