King's College London wishes to appoint a Teaching Fellow in Poetry to provide instruction in the practice of writing poetry and in the study of Romantic poetry

Summary

The Department wishes to appoint a Teaching Fellow in Poetry to provide instruction, and participate in the assessment of students, in the practice of writing poetry, and in the study of Romantic poetry, its history, criticism and forms. The post holder will help to foster a lively culture of reading and writing poetry within the Department, encouraging students to participate in extracurricular readings and practice-based activities.

The post will be based at the King’s Strand Campus, Kingsway Building.  

Details

The successful candidate will teach two modules for undergraduate students:  the seminar-based Creative Writing: Poetry, and lectures and seminars for the module Lyric and the Inner Life. S/he may also be asked to provide supervision to BA and/or MA students in poetry.
