Teaching Fellowship in Creative Writing - Fiction
Deadline: Mon 3 Jul 2017
Applications are invited for a temporary three year part-time appointment as Teaching Fellow in Creative Writing at University College Dublin

The School of English, Drama and Film runs two highly successful postgraduate courses in Creative Writing, an MA and an MFA. The teaching of Creative Writing is a core activity of the School, and through the appointment of a half-time (0.5fte) Teaching Fellow, the School seeks to expand their provision for undergraduate and postgraduate students.

In recent years the School has hosted a number of internationally acclaimed writers (Anne Enright, Lia Mills, Carlo Gebler, Mary Morrissey, Michael Longley, Paula Meehan), and has a tradition of marrying creative writing with critical practice. The development of creative writing is a key part of the School plan for 2015-2020 and to this end the appointee will also be required to contribute to the expansion of Creative Writing in the School, including the development of the teaching of fiction in the School.
