To support a range of client and organisational development activity across the charity and arts sectors, Cause4 is seeking a talented Trusts, Foundations and Statutory Manager to play a vital role as part of the organisation’s core fundraising and strategy team.

The role, working directly with the Head of Development and Operations, will involve working across Cause4’s portfolio of clients to identify, cultivate, raise funds and manage relationships with Trusts and Foundations. The role will predominantly involve, with direct support from one of Cause4’s high calibre graduate research Fellows, the following:

• Identifying and researching potential Trusts and Foundations on behalf of Cause4’s clients – ensuring we are maximising income from this source on behalf of the organisations for which we work.
• Liaising with clients to craft and develop ‘fundraising stories’ and Cases for Support to facilitate applications.
• Developing detailed programme budgets on behalf of clients.
• Supporting the development of cultivation strategies for Trusts and Foundations on behalf of clients.
• Using written material, phone calls, face-to-face meetings and project visits to cultivate potential donors, to make imaginative, accurate and timely funding proposals and to conclude approaches on behalf of our clients.
• Providing strategic advice, when required, to clients on all aspects of approaches to Trusts and Foundations and Statutory Fundraising.
• Developing Cause4’s links and relationships with a wide range of Trusts and Foundations.

For the right candidate, there is likely to be the opportunity to support approaches to corporates and individuals and to develop wider strategic skills in development and fundraising. Cause4 is a learning organisation and development opportunities across consultancy skills and wider fundraising and business planning skills are plentiful.

The ideal candidate will have an excellent understanding of fundraising and a strong track record of successfully securing funds from Trusts and Foundations, will display an imaginative approach to developing proposals and approaches and will have persuasive communication skills.
