Volunteer Reader

The Reader Organisation re looking for volunteers to make a weekly visit to a child in their own home, foster home or a community setting, to read aloud and discuss literature with them
You will prepare for and deliver an hourly session of reading and discussion with a child at the same time each week, working within a clear code of conduct for visits.
We ask for a six month initial commitment from the start of your placement to offer consistency to the child.
Regular attendance at 6-weekly training meetings with other volunteers is necessary for this role.
