Volunteer Writing Mentor
Deadline: Tue 1 Nov 2016
Live Tales, Live Theatre’s new creative writing centre for children, is looking for Volunteer Writing Mentors and Illustrators to help with creative writing workshops for young people

Do you want to help children to become more creative and confident story-writers? Do you have time to volunteer on Thursday or Friday mornings?

Live Tales is located behind Live Theatre just off Newcastle’s Quayside.  Launching in September 2016, Live Tales will offer fun and interactive story writing workshops for Key Stage 2 classes (ages 7-11). Find out more about bringing a class to visit Live Tales

Alongside experienced drama workers from Live Theatre's Education and Participation team, volunteers at the Live Tales workshops encourage and inspire young people to explore their imagination, develop communication skills and grow in confidence. The workshops are free for schools, partly due to the help of our committed volunteers.
