Residencies are open to all writers, regardless of publication history, but Dickinson House does operate on an application basis. To apply for a residency, send an email to possibility [at] dickinsonhouse [dot] be. Attach, in one PDF file, a letter of introduction stating your reasons for wanting to come to Dickinson House and your plans for your residency, as well as three preferred dates and the length of your stay; five to ten pages of recent work; and a publication list, if applicable.

Residency applications are read on a rolling basis for the entire year, beginning in January. There is no fee for residency applications (there is a fee for fellowship applications, which covers the costs of using our submissions manager; fellowships open for applications in December 2014).
