As a member of the Engagement and Learning department you will be responsible for directing youth theatre productions and for designing and delivering a youth theatre workshop programme which is linked to the core work of Hull Truck Theatre. The purpose of our Youth Theatre is to provide personal development via high quality artistic experiences.

The Youth Theatre Director will join the Engagement and Learning Department at an exciting time of change and growth as we develop each youth theatre group as an ensemble and give all groups in the 11+ age range an annual opportunity to perform in our studio theatre to a public audience.

As we work towards City of Culture 2017 there will be increasing opportunities for our youth theatre to perform in a range of contexts within our building and elsewhere. There will also be opportunities for our Youth Theatre Director to work closely with the artistic director and creative teams, assisting and supporting a broad range of projects.

The Youth Theatre Director will work closely with the Head of Engagement and Learning to contribute to the overall development of the department and to support the planning and delivery of Engagement and Learning projects.
