'Who Made the Rainbow' album of poetry and songs by Christine Michael
I have been personally acquainted with Christine for over twenty years and in that time I have known her in her capacity as a folk club organiser, singer, musician and performer of the highest standard. She has shown an interest in and dedication to the folk arts second to none and has succeeded in making her commitment one by which she has been able to further a successful career through the medium of children's work.
Christine is honest, reliable, dependable and of a friendly disposition. She is always willing to help, listen and share her experiences of life. Her sense of humour comes across in a positive and infectious way.
I have had the pleasure of working closely with Christine in a professional capacity as her agent and found her to be a conscientious, caring and punctual performer. She exhibits great skill and concern for the good in her work with both children and adults.
Agent, Storytelling Services, Nottinghamshire
I have known Christine Michael for over ten years and have had the privilege to work with her on many occasions. She has worked at the school where I am the deputy on several occasions during book weeks and poetry weeks. She has inspired many of our pupils (often those reluctant 11 year old boys) to write, draw and perform. She has the ability to bring stories and poems alive and she can reach both adults and children alike! Christine is a consumate professional in all that she does and always gives her all. She is always punctual and very well organised and resourced. She has been very reliable and has come to our rescue on many occasions! The children speak very highly of her as do staff as she is an inspiration to us all.
