Sophie Atherton

Biography:
Sophie was born in Blackburn in 1990 and was schooled in Darwen, Blackburn and Bolton! At Primary School aged 10, her short story about a circus elephant was selected to be published with several other members of her class in 'Days of our lives... Young Writers Creative Writing From Lancashire'. Sophie took a twilight History class at GCSE and achieved 11 A-C grades. At sixth form she studied Theatre Studies, History, Fine Art and Media Studies before dropping Theatre after her AS Levels. In 2009 she moved to York to attend York St John University to study Film Studies and Media as a Joint Honours. After graduating in 2012, Sophie wants to further her education and is considering a Masters in Journalism.
