Arvon: Tutored Poetry Retreat with Walking
Mon 22 May 2017 to Sat 27 May 2017
During this week of intensive walking, writing and reading poetry we’ll examine how walking can inspire and shape poetic creativity
Walking was an inseparable part of creativity for the Romantic poets. They shared ideas on walks, they found inspiration from the landscape and the people they encountered, and they trod the rhythms of their poetry across some of the most beautiful parts of Europe.
During this week of intensive walking, writing and reading poetry we’ll examine how walking can inspire and shape poetic creativity.
Our daily walks will take us into the extraordinary and ancient Shropshire landscape where we can put some of our new ideas into practice, and our one-to-one tutorials will allow you to get detailed feedback on your writing.
