Learn how to create an appealing pitch for your manuscript and how to run an efficient and effective submissions period for your work in this half-day workshop.
This half-day workshop in Dunfermline's award-winning Carnegie Library gives you the chance to learn about the workings of the publishing industry and ask experienced literary consultant Claire Wingfield all the questions you’ve ever wanted to about the traditional path to publication. We’ll be talking agents and publishers – how to select who to submit to, how to submit to them in the best possible way, and crucially what to do if you gain agent or publisher interest.
Participants will also get the chance to pitch their manuscript, and will gain vital feedback on their pitch material (including submissions cover letter and synopsis).
Writers can choose to submit a cover letter and synopsis prior to the workshop.
Date: Saturday 28 October 2017, 12pm-4pm
Venue: Dunfermline Carnegie Library (Queen Margaret Room)
Cost: £80
