Poetry: Getting it published and out into the world
Thu 25 Jan 2018 to Thu 29 Mar 2018
This Nottingham Trent University course will develop the confidence of those new to the poetry world and provide professional advice and valuable insights for those writers looking to move on to the next level.
Many poets now are able to generate an income through their art form, whether that be via readings, workshops, book sales or a combination of all three. However, in an increasingly crowded modern discipline it’s important to understand how to present your work effectively either on stage or on the page, giving your poetry the edge it needs to be published and recognised on the thriving live circuit.

By the end of the course, you’ll have developed a small portfolio of poems for possible publication, gained an insight into the modern poetry world of publishing and performance and received a one-to-one consultation with an industry professional.

No experience of writing or performing poetry is necessary. Complete beginners and much more experienced writers will be welcomed onto this exciting and explorative course.

Dates: Thursdays, 25 January 2018 – 29 March 2018, 6 - 8:30 pm (ten weeks)
Location: Nottingham Trent University
Cost: £335.00
