Responding to Photojournalism with Language & Poetry Masterclass
Fri 1 Aug 2014 to Fri 1 Aug 2014
Write poetry inspired by a series of award-winning photographs that capture the various forms of the human condition

Members will get the chance to write poetry inspired by a series of award-winning photographs that capture the various forms of the human condition. They will look at how to explore the poetry of the image while discovering methods that can help preserve its essence and meaning but with the use of language and poetry rather than shape and image.

Anthony Anaxagorou is an acclaimed poet, writer, performer and educator from North London.

He has published eight collections of poetry and is currently preparing for the release of his first collection of short stories that will be out later this year through Jacaranda Books. He teaches poetry and creative writing in schools across London.

He gives lectures on creativity and how poetry can be used as a means to tackle mental health issues. His work has been studied in universities in the US, UK and Australia as well as being translated into Spanish, Japanese and French.
