Call-out for Writers and Arts Practitioners
Deadline: Mon 25 Sep 2017
Literature Wales announces opportunity for Wales-based literary and arts practitioners to create and deliver a series of creative writing workshops in the community.

A new funding scheme for writers has been launched by Literature Wales which forms part of a wider community engagement plan, Llên Pawb | Lit Reach.

Wales-based literary and arts practitioners are invited to devise and deliver series of new and innovative creative writing workshops which encourage wider engagement and inclusion. Writers, artists, illustrators, film-makers, musicians and other literary and arts practitioners are welcome to apply. Cross art-form projects are encouraged, though the emphasis should be placed on literature and creative writing.

Each workshop series should comprise 4-6 sessions and have a clearly defined target audience and outcome, for example, the creation of a poetry pamphlet, a showcase event, a short film and screening, or an EP of songs. The costs for producing the outcome must be included in the application. Projects should be suitable for one or more target groups.

Successful projects will be commissioned by Literature Wales in autumn 2017, and must be delivered by Friday 1 June 2018.

Further details about the scheme and how to apply are available on the Literature Wales website.
