Communications Assistant - Children’s Marketing & Adult Publicity

Working across the Children’s and Adult publishing divisions at Faber, you will be supporting the Children’s Marketing team and Adult Publicity team

The Communications Assistant will require excellent organisation and communication skills, creativity, ability to hit deadlines and passion and drive. 

Please note that the role will divide between 3 days Children's marketing and 2 days Adult publicity support, so a passion for children’s publishing is an important consideration. 
 
Children’s marketing responsibilities

Working across a range of 50 titles, and providing essential marketing admin support, this role will be as exciting as the candidate can make it in the time allowed. It is a pivotal time in the lifecycle of the Faber children's list, and you will have the opportunity to influence and shape the marketing output of the entire list. 

This role will be supporting the Children’s Marketing Manager, ensuring that the marketing activity for the Children’s list is delivered on time, with passion, energy and attention to detail. Main responsibilities include:   

• Catalogue, proof and presenter production
• Marketing admin
• Campaign support
• Supplier management
• Executing social media plans 
• Maintaining and updating author and brand websites 

Adult publicity responsibilities

You will be supporting the Faber Adult publishing Publicity team working on one of the world’s most exciting literary lists, overseeing administration of daily tasks, booking travel, arranging schedules, answering queries, general administration

• Department general admin - to include travel bookings, mail outs, event prep 
• Supporting the publicity team with organisation of events and launches and their promotion
• Supporting publicists with key campaigns: researching, pitching media and accompanying authors
• Helping to create and sharing content across social media channels
