The National Theatre is currently looking for a dramaturg for its annual youth theatre festival Connections.
Each year Connections offers youth theatres and school theatre groups the chance to perform one of 10 newly commissioned plays and to perform in leading theatres across the UK.
The Connections Dramaturg will be responsible for the commissioning of 10-12 new one-act Connections plays for the 2020 and 2021 cycles for a diverse range of young people to perform. While focusing on Connections, the Connections Dramaturg will be connected with NT New Work and NT Learning mission, objectives and producing and programming priorities. You will have a commitment to and understanding of creating work for young people, the ability to work as part of a team and a flexible and collaborative attitude and excellent broad, contemporary knowledge of new writing and writers from across the UK.
