Teesside University - School of Computing, Media & The Arts is looking for an individual with a good honours degree and higher degree in a relevant discipline, plus significant practical experience.

We are looking for an individual with a good honours degree and higher degree in a relevant discipline, plus significant practical experience, to provide learning, teaching and assessment within the academic discipline of Comics, Graphic Novels and Sequential Art. You will also be required to undertake research/scholarly activity and/or consultancy and where necessary establish and maintain effective liaison with external organisations.

You must be able to demonstrate experience of contributing to curriculum design and development and be willing to teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Excellent theoretic understanding of comics, graphic novels and sequential art industries is essential as is an understanding of current and emerging platforms and practice and social, political and economic movements and culture within the field.
