The Mentoring Programme is delivered by established professional playwrights, to support the development of new plays. This is an opportunity to improve playwriting skills and gain valuable insight into the playwriting process and profession.

Playwrights' Studio organises a readthrough and discussion with professional actors and directors for all the selected playwrights, followed by a public sharing of extracts from the plays. We will also organise at least one theatre trip during the eight month Programme, as well as providing workshops and other opportunities to meet theatre, radio and TV professionals.

Dates for programme:

Playwrights Induction Day: Tuesday 12 December (full day)
Mentoring: Six two-hour sessions scheduled mid-month between January and June
Individual Readthrough: Two half day sessions on Tuesday 10 and/or Wednesday 11 July 2018
Public Sharing: The evening of Wednesday 11 July 2018
The theatre trip and workshops are anticipated to take place between April and June.
