Trainee, Wordsworth Trust
Deadline: Mon 6 Nov 2017
The Wordsworth Trust has been providing training opportunities for people starting careers in museums, libraries and literature for over 30 years, and has a high reputation across the sector for the standard of training it provides.

The Traineeship programme is designed to provide a unique, all-round experience in a full time role (five out of seven days a week) of both an historic house and a working museum that receives 40,000 visitors a year.

All Trainees will gain experience in public facing roles, through delivering guided tours of Dove Cottage, giving introductory talks to visiting groups, selling tickets and merchandise in the shop, and welcoming visitors to the museum. Alongside this, Trainees will also specialise in one of the following departments: Collections, Education, Outreach or Visitor Experience.

The Traineeship will run from January 2018 until December 2018. Trainee roles are funded by Arts Council England, and Trainees will be paid in line with National Minimum Wage and National Living Wage regulations.

The Wordsworth Trust is unable to provide visa sponsorship for this Traineeship. Candidates will be asked to show that they are eligible to work in the UK.

The deadline for applications is Monday 6 November 2017 at 9am.
