Deadline: Sat 2 Jun 2012
Iron Press will be publishing a new collection of short stories by North East-based writers
In autumn 2012, Iron Press will be publishing a new collection of short stories by North East-based writers. The publisher is looking for engaging, original stories that have not been previously published.
Accepted authors will be paid at the rate of £50 per story.
There is no theme and the stories do not have to be set in the North East. Submissions free. The stories should be no more than 4,000 words, double-spaced. Please use a pseudonym and show the word count on the title page of your story and include a return stamped envelope.
Any writers who would like a professional critique of their work before submitting should send £20 made payable to Iron Press, plus the story (again using a pseudonym) to: Iron Press, 2012 Anthology, 5 Marden Terrace, Cullercoats, North Shields, NE30 4PD. Otherwise, submissions are free and should be sent to the same address by post.
Deadline for critiques: 25 February 2012.
Deadline for submissions: 2 June 2012.
