Writers' Centre Norwich receives £240,000 from Arts Council England
Wed 27 Jun 2012
Writers' Centre Norwich receives £240,000 from Arts Council England’s Catalyst fund to support its fund raising development.
The Catalyst grant will enable Writers' Centre Norwich to create a major national digital literature hub as well as a new literary commissioning fund that will provide new writing, cross art form and work in translation for that hub.

This is an exciting time for Norwich and literature: last week Norwich became England’s first UNESCO City of Literature after a Writers' Centre Norwich led bid and Writers' Centre Norwich was recently granted £3 million from Arts Council England to develop the International Centre for Writing - due to open in 2016.

The Catalyst grant supports Writers' Centre Norwich's work towards the International Centre for Writing by creating a platform for those interested in developing access to the best in world literature. It will enable Writers' Centre Norwich to commission new work and support artistic development to a level it has not previously been able to achieve.
