Launch of Association of Scottish Literary Agents

A new organisation representing the rights and interests of Scotland's writers worldwide - the Association of Scottish Literary Agents - was launched at a reception at the Edinburgh International Book Festival.

The ASLA will provide a forum for Scotland's literary agents. It will enable them to collaborate on projects, to lobby for crucial funding and to ensure effective dissemination of information at a time when the publishing industry world-wide is undergoing significant changes which have a direct impact on writers.
