The Bridport Prize: 2021 Bursaries for under-represented writers
Deadline: Wed 12 May 2021
Our 2021 bursaries are now open. These give under-represented writers a free entry to the Bridport Prize competition in any category. There will be monthly bursary awards running through to May 2021.

These bursaries have been generously donated by writers entering our competition who want to support other writers with their work. All applications are considered in the strictest confidence. We don’t require proof of income.

Application dates for each month are as follows:
5th: Applications open
12th: Deadline for applications.
18th: All applicants notified
28th: Deadline for submission of work

Don’t forget: Our short story, poetry and flash fiction genres are open to international applicants, whilst the novel award is open to writers living in Britain and Ireland, British writers living overseas and writers living in British Overseas Territories.
