The Common Breath: Call for submissions for Voices in the Dark
Deadline: Sun 28 Feb 2021
Voices in the dark is an opportunity for writers of short fiction to have their work given a greater platform and prominence than is usually permitted by inclusion in a magazine or anthology. This summer, we will release a series of four print pamphlet publications, each featuring the work of one individual writer.

There will be 50 copies of each published (200 in total), and all editions will be numbered. The pamphlets can either be purchased individually or as a set of four.

In addition, each of the four writers will be paid £100.00 as part of their prize.

There are no prescribed themes for the work submitted. Voices in the dark is aimed purely at the liberation of the artistic voice of the short prose writer. It is our belief that too much great short fiction is left unpublished due to lack of opportunity. This project is our small, defiant strike against this.

The release date for the Voices in the dark series will be 1st June 2021.
