The Dylan Thomas Birthplace International Short Story Competition 2018

There are two age groups – under 15 years old and 15 to under 19 years old on 27th October 2018 – Dylan’s birthday. All entrants receive free membership of the Dylan Thomas Society for one year plus there are great prizes up to £500 in value.

For this year’s topic we’ve chosen a watery theme to tie in with 2018 being the Visit Wales Year of the Sea. However, the title is just the start to feed your inspiration – where you go is influenced by you, your imagination, the sight, sounds and the smell of the countryside and towns around you.

Under 15 years old - 500 words limit
15 - 19 years old - 2,500 words limit

Entry Fee: You can enter as many stories as you wish. Under 15 From: One story £3 Under 19 From: One story £6
