Artful Minds Training in dementia-focused practice with Magdalena Schamberger
Thu 13 Jun 2019 to Thu 13 Jun 2019
Artful Minds is a one-day experiential training initiative for artists of all art forms which uses a multi-arts approach to focus on what it is like to experience challenges associated with dementia and old age. It aims to increase skills, confidence, influence creative responses, as well as giving ideas for translation into artistic practice.

Artful Minds is aimed at professional artists who are looking to create work specifically for people living with dementia, to gain a first insight or deepen their engagement with people living with dementia.

The workshop will take place at Capital Theatres in Edinburgh who are working with Magdalena in partnership on the training elements of this project.

The workshop is created and delivered by Magdalena Schamberger, an independent creative collaborator, director, teaching artist and theatre maker with a special interest in developing high quality performances with and for people living with dementia, their loved ones and those who care for them. Lunch is included in the cost of the day, and further resources will be provided for artists to take home.
