Arvon at Home Masterclass: The craft of editing and perfecting with Kit de Waal
Thu 4 Jun 2020 to Thu 4 Jun 2020
This online Editing Masterclass will take the fear and loathing out of turning your first draft into the novel you really wanted to write.

You’ve done the hard work. Your first draft is finished. What do you do with it now? Learn the craft of editing and perfecting. With examples, exercises and a checklist of how, what and when to edit, from the big stuff, right down to the commas.

The masterclass will be delivered via Zoom and will last two hours (11:00am – 13:00pm) including time for you to write.

Kit de Waal’s novel My Name is Leon won the Kerry Group Irish Fiction Award and was shortlisted for the Costa Book Award (First Novel). In 2016, she founded the Kit de Waal Creative Writing Scholarship at Birkbeck University. Her second novel Trick to Time was published in 2018. It was longlisted for Women’s Prize 2018.

There are a limited number of grants available for people on low-income. These are allocated on a first come first served basis. Please contact communications@arvon.org to apply.
