Arvon at Home: New Winter Season 2021
Mon 11 Jan 2021 to Fri 2 Apr 2021
Our Winter Season of Arvon at Home courses and events is now open to book! We have brand new Masterclasses, Live Guest Readings and Craft of Writing sessions to come, as well as Online Writing Weeks, and one-to-one tutorials.

The Winter Season will see the return of Arvon mainstays as well as brand new voices across Arvon at Home’s whole programme.

During our Online Writing Weeks, you’ll hear from tutors new to Arvon like Will Harris, Nadine Aisha Jassat and Jessica J. Lee, as we welcome back writers such as Raymond Antrobus, Kirsty Logan and Clare Shaw.

Cathy Rentzenbrink will host our Craft of Writing series, leading a deep dive into the creative process over three evenings as she speaks to Kit De Waal, Julia Samuel and Francesca Main.

Our Live Guest Readings remain a Wednesday evening staple, offering a platform for established and early career writers alike and an opportunity to hear directly from some of the UK’s most exciting writers, for just £5. Winter Season highlights include readings with award-winning poet Hollie McNish and debut author and Arvon/Jerwood graduate Stephanie Scott.

Weekly Masterclasses will still be bringing insights and inspirations on Tuesday evenings and Thursday lunchtimes; we begin 2021 with a Masterclass taught by New York Times bestseller Anthony Johnson, with more names to follow.

Through our commitment to make Arvon as accessible and affordable as possible, we are launching concessionary pricing on Masterclasses and Craft of Writing Sessions from January 2021, in addition to the grant places we will continue to offer. We are also introducing captioning for all our Masterclasses and Live Guest Readings. And we are excited to offer a brand new course for the new year taught by, and for, D/deaf, disabled and neurodiverse poets. The course will explore how disabled poets can ‘write back’ at an ableist culture and is tutored by Raymond Antrobus and Jillian Weise.
