Creative Journaling: Nature/Eco Writing with Sue Burge
Tue 4 Aug 2020 to Tue 27 Jul 2021
All you need is a notebook, a pen and access to e-mails. Every Tuesday for a year you will receive a prompt in your box which will encourage you to explore nature in original and innovative ways.
You can cut all the flowers but you cannot keep spring from coming… Pablo Neruda
There will be links to nature writers and nature poets to launch your ideas some weeks, other weeks there will be the option of getting out and about.
It doesn’t matter where you live – urban nature/eco writing is also important and all the prompts can be done from a garden or a window or in your imagination.
Some of the prompts will explore the climate crisis and rare/extinct species, others will be a celebration of the familiar things around us.
Some of your journal entries may lead to the creation of longer, more polished pieces of creative non-fiction, flash fiction or poetry.
Please note there is no feedback on your journal entries although you may want to use my mentoring service for any longer pieces which arise.
The course starts and finishes during the annual Butterfly Big Count, which feels auspicious!
52 E-mail prompts - Every Tuesday from 4 August 2020 to 27 July 2021.
