Our next online NAWE Members Meet-Up on Wednesday 25th September 2024 will be a chance to share updates on our writing work and to find out what other NAWE Members are up to.
While we will cover all aspects of creative writing work, the last 30 minutes will focus on a specific area which this month will be writing in the community. If you have experience of working in community settings, or are interested in doing so, please do come along and share your thoughts.
The session will be hosted by Jane Moss who is a co-opted member of the NAWE Board of Trustees.
Jane is based in Cornwall. She facilitates community writing groups in local places, co-hosts The Writing Retreat which provides in-person and online courses and retreats for writers, and provides writing and training in health and social care contexts. Recent projects have included a study unit in creative journal writing for fourth year medical students at the Peninsular Medical School. Her PhD at Falmouth University, funded by AHRC, has produced a model of practice for a 'community novel' based on participatory research with volunteers in a rural Cornish Parish. See www.janemoss.com for more information about Jane.
