PoetryEast with Jane Yeh
Sat 19 Jan 2019 to Sat 19 Jan 2019
PoetryEast is an ongoing series of cultural events at the London Buddhist Centre, hosted by Maitreyabandhu, exploring the meaning and value of the arts. Each event focuses on the life and work of a single guest artist, by way of an interview and a reading. This time Maitreyabandhu interviews the poet Jane Yeh.

Previous guests have included Michael Frayn, Don Patterson and Colm Tóibín.

Our two featured writers this Spring conclude a series of evenings in association with the London Review of Books.

Born in New Jersey, Jane Yeh's first poetry collection, Marabou (Carcanet, 2005), was shortlisted for the Whitbread, Forward, and Aldeburgh poetry prizes. Her second collection, The Ninjas, was published by Carcanet in 2012. She was named a Next Generation poet by the Poetry Book Society in 2014. Her third collection is forthcoming.
