Significant Ink taster sessions – Preston and Lancaster
Sat 12 Aug 2017 to Sun 3 Sep 2017
With writer Danielle Jawando, we’ll be looking at character, dialogue, and the features of a good script using film clips as reference point, as well as working on our own script ideas

Significant Ink is a new talent development initiative led by New Writing North, which aims to find and develop brand new voices currently under-represented in UK screenwriting. The taster sessions are aimed at a range of writers, including those with no previous experience.

We are particularly looking to connect with writers from groups that are currently under-represented, including BAME, LGBT+, disabled and working class writers.

Come along, have a go at screenwriting and find out more about the Significant Ink professional development programme, which aims to bring writers from under-represented groups to the attention of broadcasters and production companies, including via talent development and award schemes run by New Writing North, Channel 4 and others.
