The Art and Craft of Imagery - a creative writing workshop led by Fiona Owen
Fri 22 Mar 2019 to Fri 22 Mar 2019
Drawing on Paul Deaton’s recent collection of poems A Watchful Astronomy and various other examples of poetry and fiction, this workshop will explore ways to enrich your writing (poetry and prose) by using imagery. There will be plenty of fun exercises and the workshop is open to all ranges of experience.
Fiona Owen has had five collections of poetry published, the latest being The Green Gate (Cinnamon Press), and has published short stories, interviews, reviews and essays. She directs Ucheldre Literary Society and Rhwng: the Point Between at Ucheldre, teaches creative writing, literature and other arts/humanities subjects for the Open University, and writes and records songs with Gorwel Owen, the latest CD being Releasing Birds. She also runs ‘self/world’ writing events under the title Eye of the Storm.
