The Ginkgo Prize for Ecopoetry Workshop: Flower, Forest, Shell – Exploring Shelter with Mina Gorji
Sat 15 Aug 2020 to Sat 15 Aug 2020
The Ginkgo Prize for Ecopoetry is the biggest international prize for ecological, environmental, and climate-concerned poetry. To help applicants, Ginkgo has set up free virtual workshops throughout the submissions period (31 July – 31 October 2020) which aim to encourage the writing and understanding of ecopoetry.

Workshops will start with Mina Gorji's Instagram Live workshop on "Flower, Forest, Shell – Exploring Shelter" taking place on Saturday 15 August 2020, 6–7pm on @ginkgo.prize’s Instagram Live

Essays, workshops, and more activities with leading environmental writers will be announced soon.

The Ginkgo Prize is managed by the Poetry School and judged by novelist, activist, and UK Poet Laureate Simon Armitage with poet, critic, and commissioning editor Jade Cuttle. It aims to illuminate the climate crisis and the role that poetry can play in provoking consciousness and change.
