What's the Big Idea? Playwriting Workshop with Oliver Emanuel
Sat 20 Jul 2019 to Sun 4 Aug 2019
Playwrights' Studio, Scotland are delighted to be hitting the road over the summer with What's the Big Idea? a new playwriting workshop led by Associate Playwright Oliver Emanuel (Flight, The 306 Trilogy). The workshops visit Dumfries, Inverness, Caithness and Edinburgh.

As a playwright, What's the Big Idea? takes you through a story and ideas workout: how to generate them, crystallise them and talk about them.?

This workshop will assist in improving your ideas and guiding your writing and redrafting. It will also help you to increase your confidence when talking to directors, programmers or potential supporters about the story you want to tell and assert why you are the only person who can tell it.

Ideally suited for aspiring/emerging playwrights, or more experienced writers looking for a refresher.

Venues:

Saturday 20 July Theatre Royal, Dumfries
Friday 26 July Lyth Arts Centre, Lyth, Wick
Saturday 27 July Eden Court, Inverness
Sunday 4 August Fringe Central, Edinburgh
