Coming home to your essential self. In this one day workshop we will weave a magic mix of mindfulness, creative writing and walking in nature, to nurture creativity and a sense of well-being.
The intention is to facilitate a nourishing day for people who want to reconnect with themselves in a deeper and more creative and healing way. We will invite nature, creativity, guided meditation, storytelling and intention setting in to shape our day.
It will be a day to take stock – to stop, look and listen. To share. To look at what your harvest is, and also look at recurring themes and patterns that no longer serve. Through ritual and sharing we will help to let go of the past in order to make way for what is rising in us. Flowers may rise in our garden, but to flourish and bloom will need tending, weeding, light and water. In a similar way, we will guide people through creative processes to help the garden grow.
This day will be gentle and supportive, led by Janis Mackay, an author, storyteller, a lover of walking in wild places and a creative writing tutor, with an MA in creative writing and personal development. Janis has wandered and wondered in many woods and is delighted to open up this gentle, healing and creative day to others.
We will move between the cosy wood fire environment of a country cottage and the forest that surrounds it.
