0.5 FTE Lecturer in Creative Writing (Teaching and Research), Queen Mary University of London
The Department of English in the School of English and Drama seeks to appoint a permanent part-time (0.5 FTE) Lecturer in Creative Writing.
The successful candidate will be a published writer with expertise in Black British, and/or British Asian, Anglophone African, Anglophone South Asian, Anglophone Caribbean writing and related histories and practices.
They will be able to contribute to:
the development and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching across Creative Writing;
an introductory or survey module, second-year modules in prose, poetry and performance, and the final-year dissertation;
to the MA in Creative Writing;
liaising with the School’s partner organisation, Wasifiri; International Contemporary Writing;
the successful applicant will contribute to our thriving, diverse and politically engaged culture of practice and research in Creative Writing and English.
The successful applicant will hold a PhD in Creative Writing, English or a related field. Alternatively, you may have equivalent professional experience.
You will have an established international profile as practitioner and/or researcher in a field of Creative Writing, whether in prose, poetry, performance, hybrid or alternative modes.
Experience in teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels is an essential requirement.
