Artist in Residence, Aldershot Lido (West End Centre)

The West End Centre will be hosting 2 artists in residence for 5 days each at the Aldershot Lido during July/August 2018. Open to any art form (including literature).
Artists will imaginatively engage visitors to the Lido in creative arts activities. Responses can be in any form (including creative writing) and will ideally contribute to some form of ‘end product’ to document the work, though this is not essential.

The fee offered is £1320 for 6 days work, 5 of which must be direct engagement with participants at the Lido. There is an additional budget for travel expenses and up to £300 is available for materials. Artists will need to have current DBS clearance and public liability insurance.
Applicants will be required to submit the following information:
•Current CV
•Project proposal (one side of A4) an outline of initial ideas and approaches to the residency, including ways of engaging participants and how the time might be used. The relevance of your work and past experience to this project should also be included within this proposal.
•Description of previous relevant work (up to 2 projects).
•Contact details of two referees (referees will be contacted on appointment).
•Confirmation of current DBS clearance and Public Liability Insurance.
