Call out for LGBT Theatre Writer, Write Pride

We’re looking for an experienced writer who has written theatre pieces with LGBTQIA themes to lead a three hour master class at Nottingham Playhouse as part of Write Pride, an LGBT writing festival taking place in Nottingham in July 2018.

The master class should give our participants techniques and prompts for writing on LGBT themes in the playwriting form including script structure and development ideas. The writer will also have the opportunity to show an extract from a theatre piece they have written or that they are developing as part of our evening scratch theatre event. Fee: £300 Location: Nottingham Playhouse Date: Friday 27July 2018. 

Write Pride will take place in Nottingham during Pride month (July) 2018. The project will include a series of master classes and events exploring and celebrating the work of LGBTQIA writers from 5 writing disciplines: poetry, prose, film, song writing and theatre.
