Deadline: Mon 3 Aug 2020
Pentabus Theatre are looking for an emerging theatre artist to become their third Clive and Sylvia Richards' Charity Writer in Residence.

The £10,000 bursary supports a professional playwright in the early stage of their career, providing the opportunity for the recipient to spend up to a year residing at their base in Bromfield, which is just outside Ludlow in South Shropshire.

The £10,000 Bursary is generously supported for a third year by the Clive and Sylvia Richards' Charity. It is intended to cover the recipient’s living costs while they are resident at Pentabus for at least six months of their year-long bursary.

The Writer in Residence will be the working artist at the core of the company, with their own dedicated studio at Pentabus HQ. They will write at least one full length play while they are with Pentabus, supported dramaturgically by the Artistic Director.

They will take part in all the day to day activity from Artistic Planning meetings to meeting rural communities and audiences. They will work with the Audiences and engagement Manager to plan and deliver the Young Company and Young Writers’ workshops.
